Speaker Profile:
Michael Boehnke is the Richard G. Cornell Distinguished University Professor of Biostatistics and Director of the University of Michigan Center for Statistical Genetics and Genome Science Training Program. He completed his Ph.D. in Biomathematics at UCLA in 1983 with a specialty in human genetics and has been on the faculty at Michigan since 1984. Dr. Boehnke’s research focuses on development and application of statistical designs and analysis methods for human genetics, with emphasis on human gene mapping and identification of genetic variants that predispose to common human diseases and traits.
