Speaker Profile:

Dr. Pierre-Emmanuel Morange is the Head of the Laboratory of Haematology in the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) Timone, Professor of Haematology in the Faculty of Medicine at the Université de la Méditerranée, and Director of the Centre de Référence Régional pour l’Exploration des Pathologies Hémorragiques et Thrombotiques (CEHT) at CHU Timone, all in Marseille, France. He has special expertise in genetic epidemiology, haemostasis, thrombophilia, and associated metabolic syndromes. Dr. Morange has made many important contributions to the understanding and identification of risk factors contributing to venous and arterial thrombosis, and acute coronary and metabolic syndromes. He has published more than 130 scientific papers and has served as a reviewer for the journals Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Arteriosclerosis and Thrombosis and Vascular Biology, and Blood.
