International Speaker Seminar Series (ISSS)
One-hour research seminar session, held once per month, October through May.
Seminars are followed by a one-hour lunch and group discussion for registered trainees in a nearby location, with faculty participation.
Unless otherwise indicated, all seminars are held from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m., first Friday of every month.
Seminar: 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.
Lunch & informal group discussion: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
We try as much as possible to book the same venue to host the seminars; however, due to limited availabilities, the venue for both the seminar and post-seminar lunch discussion may vary. Please check the ISSS link (above) for the most updated information regarding seminar location.
Seminars are sponsored by The Hospital for Sick Children, the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute of Mount Sinai Hospital, the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, the McLaughlin Centre, the Ontario Cancer Institute of the University Health Network, and the CIHR Institute of Genetics.
Statistical Methods for Genetics & Genomics (SMGG) Research Seminar and Journal Club
Co-ordinated with the monthly International Speaker Seminar Series, the SMGG (pronounced “smig”) seminar and journal club is held 2-3 times per month, September through May. Seminars are followed by a small group discussion, with faculty participation.
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, Friday.
Seminar: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Group discussion: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
