DESCRIPTION:\nJoin us for the next instalment of the STAGE International Speaker Seminar Series (ISSS) with\n\n\n\nJeff Leek\n\n\n\nAssociate Professor of Biostatistics , John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public HealthCo-Director of the John Hopkins University Data Science Lab\n\n\n\nTalk Title:\n\n\n\nComputational Reannotation of the Human Transcriptome with the Recount Project\n\n\n\nAbstract:\n\n\n\nGene expression variation has now been measured at large scale \nby groups around the world. In this talk I will discuss our efforts \nto collect and synthesize all human RNA-sequence data in the \nrecount project (https://jhubiostatistics.shinyapps.io/recount/). I \nwill then focus on two key questions: (1) How and when can we \ndiscover novel genomic regions that are expressed from large \ncollections of data?
